Kindness, Love In Action

The second word in the task at hand is kindness. Everything I have read on this word brings about the idea of grace, favor, loyalty, love in action and good deeds.


In the context of remaining united through Christ Jesus, Titus 3:4-8 (NIV) reads like this:

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
As I read through this today, God spoke to my heart. Just as the kindness (love in action) and love (grace and favor) of God our Savior appeared (love in action and loyalty), we are also called to living a life of kindness and love through devoting ourselves to peaceful living and through doing what is good for others (good deeds).

It is as simple, yet complex, as that. God, make my heart your own that I might live a life of peace and show kindness and love to everyone, just as you have and do each and every day.
