True Freedom In Christ Jesus

—Misplaced anger is the fear we won’t get what we want. Lord, there is a LOT of misplaced anger in the world today. You tell us in Ephesians 4:26-27 (AMP): "Be angry (at sin – at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior) yet do not sin; do not let your anger (cause you shame, nor allow it to) last until the sun goes down. And do not give the devil an opportunity (to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness)."

The angry violence taking place in protest of racism has actually increased it. We have seemingly learned nothing from history. Lord, we stand in agreement against the enemy in this. This appears to us to be a huge battle and the temptation is to put our heads in the sand and hope it will quickly go away. But You have called us to join in battle through prayer! So here we are trusting You to take us to the other side of this storm safely!

Hear our prayers and swiftly send Your armies to defeat the powers of darkness pervading the minds that have been deceived by our enemy! Shine Your light in every corner of their minds to reveal to them how dark their world has truly become. They cry out for freedom, and some of them rightly so, but many are involved for the notoriety, the thrill of power surge, money, material possessions they can steal and other things behind the scenes of which we may not be aware.

Shine Your Light through us to reveal to these the true path to freedom found ONLY in Christ Jesus! Raise up an army of prayer warriors to join together in love for the deceived and unified agreement against the enemy and his cohorts rather than against the people themselves, who are actually just puppets of evil that need their strings cut so they can learn to walk in the grace You provided through Jesus on the cross and in His resurrection.

Protect those who have truly received injustice through false allegations simply because of skin color and help us learn how to encourage them as they peacefully speak their message. Help them forgive the injustices even as they seek to impart wisdom to those who will listen. Place Your words of wisdom on our hearts and in our mouths in defense of them whenever someone speaks evil of these innocents in our presence.

Help us ALL learn to stop holding grudges against people, especially those who are no longer alive on this earth – in Jesus’ name.
