Pour Out Your Spirit

"I urge you, believers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in full agreement in what you say, and that there be no divisions or factions among you, but that you be perfectly united in your way of thinking and in your judgment about matters of the faith." ~1 Corinthians 1:10

"If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand." ~Mark 3:25

—Father God, we are Your house! The Church buildings are not. Satan is raging against the Church by destroying the buildings where we meet, burning them to the ground. I find it interesting that he is using fire. He knows where he and his dominions are headed for all eternity and so is enraged, trying to give us a taste of it perhaps, the Lake of Fire. But he cannot touch Your true Church. We are fireproof. Our destination has been set and the more he rails against us here, the happier we will be to go home with You. 

But we have a work to finish here first, Father. You have an assignment for each of Your true children. You have placed Your Spirit within us to empower us each to complete our tasks. Now is not the time to bicker about personal beliefs regarding Scripture. It is time to unite as one in prayer, in praise, in authority as Your representatives on earth. We all have the most important thing in common - Jesus! 

So Father, once again I ask for unity among the saints. I ask for a quick maturation process in those who are still crying for milk. I ask for unity in vision and a determined Church-wide spirit to bring that vision to completion. You have laid it on the hearts of many that the time is drawing very close for Jesus' return. We know that our ideas of what is close may not align exactly with Your time table, but rather than focus on the when of His return, we must keep our eyes on His and keep following closely. 

We cannot allow ourselves to fall behind or we will lose sight of Him and get lost in the chaos around us. That is when fear starts creeping in along with cynicism, doubt, anxiety and every other divisive spirit. We rebuke these spirits of division in the all-powerful name of Jesus; the name above all names that EVERY knee WILL bow down to one day! 

Father, You told us that whatever we bind on earth in His name will be bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Those who have chosen to join me in prayer and I stand united as a front against each and every divisive spirit and say, "We bind you in Jesus' name! You must every one bow to His name and admit His victory and your defeat. He, Jesus, stands as King of kings and Lord of lords over all our hearts. It is His Holy Spirit dwelling in us and on us! We stand as one in the authority of His name against you. Be gone from His Church!" 

Lord God, Supreme Ruler of the universe, we choose to loose the power of Your Holy Spirit within us! No longer do we want to be cautious in our faith! No longer do we want to pretend we are like this world, because we are NOT! We are Your peculiar people! (Deuteronomy 14:2) Forgive us for any trying to blend in and help us to stand up and stand out in boldness for Your glory! 

Help us to remember that we do not war against flesh and blood, but against principalities (those demonic forces trying to strip our nation of Your moral standard) powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places - those high places of authority in our nation and all others. We must fight the right battles in order to complete our mission. As long as Satan can keep our eyes on flesh and blood, we will ignore the workings of the Holy Spirit and His army. 

Rise up within us Lord God Almighty! Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us so we can fight fire with FIRE! We thank You, praise You, worship and adore You! Thank You for revealing Your heart desire in us and through us at this perfect moment in time! In Jesus' name, AMEN! LORD, LET IT BE SO!!
