"For if you forgive others their trespasses (their reckless and willful sins), Your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others (nurturing your hurt and anger with the result that it interferes with your relationship with God), then Your Father will not forgive your trespasses." ~Matthew 6:14-15 AMP
—Lord God, this is a hard teaching, especially in a world that is trying hard to destroy all that is right and good - You!! We see the hypocrisy of saying lives matter and turning around to murder unborn children, innocent bystanders, those trying to protect others and more, but we close our eyes to our personal hypocrisies such as telling our children not to lie, then making up excuses as to why we can or cannot do for others, which teaches our children not to lie UNLESS it benefits self.
We become angry and cry out against injustices, as we should, but we must remember Your words, "Love your enemies and PRAY for those who persecute you so you may show yourselves to be the children of your Father who is in heaven." ~Matthew 5:44.
The solution is not to rail against the people who are enslaved by our enemy and doing his bidding and thus enslaving them further, but to seek their deliverance from his authority. We must remember that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world - against SPIRITUAL wickedness in high places." ~Ephesians 6:12. Two wrongs can never make a right.
We must not become like the enemy, trying to become God's equal in judgment, but rather become like Jesus, willing to lay down our lives on behalf of those enslaved to sin and get on our spiritual knees and PRAY!
Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy. Jesus came to give abundant life!! (John 10:10) So, Lord God, here I am on my spiritual knees. I pour out selfish life before You and ask You to fill me with love for the people who are being used and abused by the enemy to kill, steal and destroy.
I and all those joining me in prayer loose the power of Your Holy Spirit within us to do a mighty work of deliverance on their behalf! Jesus, You promised to be in the midst of 2 or 3 gathered in Your name. I know You are present, because more and more of Your true children are joining me in prayer and so I thank You that You hear us and as High Priest make our requests before God pure and holy. Use us as Your bride and children at this critical time in history to set the captives free through prayer and whatever good actions You lay on our hearts to perform in order to ensure it.
Open the eyes and ears of the spiritually blind and deaf that they might receive Your Truth. Grant them hearts of flesh that can die to self and live for eternity. We speak over them the words You spoke over us at Your crucifixion, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do," and forgive us for allowing things to get so far before coming to You for help!
In Jesus' all powerful name we all pray, Amen!
