My Tiffany

Unless you get my wife alone for a while and she feels like you want to hear what she has to say, you might think she doesn’t talk very much or have much to say – God gave me Tiffany for many reasons; I often do plenty of talking for the both of us, but one thing Tiffany is for me is a physical example of the Holy Spirit here on earth. Tiffany is patient and kind, holds her tongue often – she’s a counselor and comforter. Tiffany allows me to “wait on God” and “hear His voice” for myself. She prays for God’s calling on my life, and then she gently confirms His leading once I have acknowledged Him. She follows without question and she joyously joins right in with whatever God brings our way. Don’t get me wrong, Tiffany is not perfect, but I do often tell her that if she were born 2000+ years ago, God may have selected her to be the mother of Jesus ( smile emoticon …that’s our family joke anyway). She often says “I would have accepted it with honor and humility” but “I don’t think I am what Mary was” and smiles so sweetly. When Tiffany speaks, she speaks loving words, firm words when needed, words of grace and words of wisdom – sometimes her words pierce my heart and keep me in check. She’s not a substitute for His Spirit within me, but she is in tune with His Spirit and walks so closely with Him. I love my Tiffany, and believe her to be the most wonderful thing (person) that God has ever gifted me… she is my best friend, she is my wise woman, she’s the mother of my precious children and my lover – God revealed this to me once more this morning on our way to church.
